Dean Wu, MD, PhD is a board-certified neurologist and sleep specialist, who has experiences in setting up 3 sleep labs in 3 different hospitals in the past two decades. Before he came to be in charge of the Department of Neurology, Shuang-Ho hospital, he established the largest sleep center in New Taipei City, the largest in Taiwan. Dr. Wu has also taught Clinical Sleep Medicine at Taipei Medical University for many years, which is one of the most complete and comprehensive sleep medicine course among medical universities in Taiwan. He is also very active in Taiwan Society of Sleep Medicine and he serve as a board member for years. His interest in sleep research is broad, which covers clinical and basic sleep ones. Currently his research is focused on interaction between sleep and neurodegenerative disorders.
